This painting began as a study for a larger work which turned into a completed piece.  Based on a poem by Wayne A. Gilbert, the painting has blues, greens, and touches of reds for accents.  The lighter values seen along with the textural elements through the piece give this work a sense of movement.   It's smaller size allows for a intimate experience with the viewer.
